Estate 2011 – A Summer in Italy
Italy. The word conjures up so many images; rolling vineyards, architectural marvels, cobblestone roads, and most of all, beautiful art. For hundreds of years, students have traveled to the land of Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Caravaggio, to learn from the masters.
Each summer the Academy of Art University offers a Fine Art intensive in Italy. For seven weeks, the students live in the 14th-century town of Corciano, in Umbria, with weekend excursions to Rome, Florence and Venice.
Estate 2011 – A Summer in Italy, will showcase the work of students who participated in the program this past summer.
The show will feature work by the following artists: Khosrow Azapour, Shannon Brett, Emmalee Carroll, Theresa Fleming, China Jones, Amy Katz, Tobin Keller, James Kroner, Dean Larson, Whitney Lau, Finoa Meng, Erica Olsson, Dayna Palazzolo, Mandi Rider, Cody Rishell, Diana Sarkar, Caitlin VanArsdale, Marina Wang, and Zachary Young.
