HIGHLAND HOUSES MUSEUM

The “Wampanoag Nation: People of the First Light” exhibit highlights “the history of the Indigenous peoples who have lived on Cape Cod for several hundred years and celebrates the Indigenous peoples whose vibrant cultural life flourishes in this day despite persistent obstacles.” Open Wednesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The museum is located at 6 Highland Light Road in North Truro. WELLFLEET HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND MUSEUM

The exhibition “Delilah Gibbs, Wellfleet’s ‘Last Indian’?” with the SALLY project, includes the “In Honor of Weetumuw” wampum belt made by Julia Marden; other exhibits include “Collecting Wellfleet” and “50’s Fashions”. Truro resident Timothy Horn’s ‘Amber Room’ exhibition runs until October 28.
